On January 15, 2006, Chris Merritt and John Kuge departed from Atlanta, Georgia to begin a year-long trip around the world. Our itinerary started in Fiji, traversed New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia. After 8-months we decided to split up and travel separately. We did our own journeys in China, India, and Egypt. Chris finished with a journey through southern africa. We traveled by air, land, and sea, staying in hostels and other low-budget accommodations, carrying only what would fit in our backpacks. Please feel free to wander through our journal entries and our photos.

Who hasn’t been lost? Certainly not me! I guess that’s what this journey is about: getting lost. Lost in different countries, cultures, foods, and adventures. So lost that the unfamiliar becomes familiar… - Chris

Wait, I was sure I had a map here somewhere… - John
